This beautiful historic home is in the heart of downtown Madison, IN. It has been completely renovated with 4 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It is with-in walking distance of all of the main attractions that Madison has to offer.

This home is perfect for entertaining. The grand 16 foot ceilings catch your eye as you and your friends lounge in the parlor or dining room. Each bedroom offers hard wood floors with lots of room for you to relax in.

Madison features more historical blocks than any city in the US. You will be in the heart of Main Street US. All the famous Madison restaurants and bars are only a few steps out the door. Madison host many music festivals each month along with the Chautauqua of Arts in September. You will be foot steps to everything you need.

One who couldn’t make the stairs was able to sleep on the couch (full bath on first level)Right off Main Street - short walk to shops and restaurants. Riverfront also in walking distance (even for some of us Seniors).

The Fashion house is the most emasculate and beautiful place I have ever stayed. It has been lovingly decorated by the hosts with so much taste and elegance. We loved just enjoying each other is such a lovely space and meandering through Madison. Thanks for a great stay!

Such the perfect spot to enjoy with family of 12 sharing in 80th birthday celebration! This house and all it's historical elements added a uniqueness not experienced elsewhere! We walked and shopped, sampled wine, ate at Red Pepper and Mad Paddle, and thoroughly enjoyed everything! We would've LOVED to have scheduled a narrated trolley ride through town but that's for another time!

Perfect location! Plenty of room for our big family. Our opinion was, that the beds were plenty comfortable. The house was very clean. Our only thing we would have liked to have had was a TV downstairs where everyone could enjoy it and not interfere with anyone sleeping upstairs. Thanks

Rented this for a surprise 65th birthday and weekend getaway. This place is beyond beautiful. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Madison. Todd the host is very responsive and kind. The only downside are the stairs to get to the bedrooms and family room area, which is my fault for being out of shape, but so worth it.

The house is exactly as described. It’s just beautiful, smells lovely, and had music playing when we arrived. Kitchen is nicely stocked (although we didn’t cook), it appeared to have the necessary items. Was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bed was very comfortable. Probably our only tip was the shower, although nice a roomy, had slightly low water pressure, nothing worth being upset about though. Unfortunately I became ill and we only got to stay over night one night out of two, the owner graciously offered us to come back after the holidays and get our second night in. How nice is that! The location is perfect, walking distance to downtown. We will most definitely come back. Thanks Todd!

This is a beautiful house and very well equipped. Alert - all the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor with is up 25 steps - straight up! The 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor are not connected to any of the bedrooms and are right next to each other. So - unusual. Wonderful location- easy party - comfortable beds. We did put some of the breakable decorations in a safer place because of our little ones. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.

We are a group of older ladies. Some complained that the lighting was not bright enough & that there were no bedside tables with lamps where you could read or wouldn’t have to go across the room to turn off the lights. Another inconvenience was that there were not enough hooks in the bathrooms for your clothes when bathing. However, besides the minor inconveniences, the house was beautiful and very very clean. Anything that we needed was provided by the owner right away. They were very accommodating

We came to Madison for an annual college fiends weekend. We were a group of 9 women in our 40’s. This house was the perfect location, beautifully designed, very clean and was perfectly set up for all of our needs. We were greeted by a host who let us in and gave us tour with many great recommendations for tours, restaurants and entertainment. The location was central to everything in Madison and all within walking distance from the house. We met so many lovely locals who gave us all the low down on Madison…it really is the friendliest town. We fell in love with this home and this city. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A wonderful weekend at a lovely home! The owners have created the perfect place for a gathering of old friends. The common areas are spacious and beautifully decorated, blending features of a 19th century home with a contemporary flair. Also, very comfortable beds. Perhaps, bedside tables might be considered for the bedrooms and towel racks and/or hooks for the bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to use while accommodating a large group. We very much enjoyed the location and proximity to the sights of Madison. Everyone in our group loved staying here. 5 stars from all of us!

Having taken advantage of several VRBO listed accommodations over the last 3 plus years across various parts of the country, we have had many positive experiences but this one in Madison, IN ranks at the top! The home was exceptionally decorated and appointed with top of line modern upscale furnishings and appliances. The owners and hosts were top notch and professional. We would best describe our experience at the home as the “Ritz-Carlton of VRBO listings”. Having visited there for years, Madison, IN is a charming and underrated midwest destination but coming on strong. The investment, renovation and expansion of old town riverfront section makes it certainly worthy of anyones bucket list adds for the Midwest.

Rented this beautiful home for a long weekend to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday. The home was as special as the occasion. The near proximity to the downtown allowed for guests to come and go as they pleased. The owners were very courteous with extremely prompt replies. My first impression upon walking inside was ‘WOW’! I was immediately stunned on the high ceilings (maybe 18') in this old home. While the home may be old, the owners were clearly meticulous in their renovations and kept the feel of an 1800’s home while including all the conveniences of a current, modern home. The location can’t be beat and was an easy walk to many of Madison’s fun shops, bars, restaurants and festivals. I highly recommend this property!
