Hope Mill House - PRIME LOCATION with a inground heated saltwater pool! The Hope Mill House is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath rental property located just 2.1 miles north of Cooperstown Dreams Park, on the same road! The Village of Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame is a quick 5 minute drive north. Hope Mill house is absolutely ideal for baseball tournaments families looking to be close to the park as well as the Village of Cooperstown. There is a trout stream running along the edge of the property for fishing and visual enjoyment, in addition to that guests' can fish The Susquehanna River just up the road from Compton bridge access.
Rich in history the Hope Mill House was originally built in 1816 as a grain mill powered by water from the stream, how neat right?! There are many unique features still evident throughout the house, the original water turbine still sits in the front yard as a reminder of times gone by. The property was completely renovated and updated to bring it into the modern age while still maintaining the special character of the original mill.
Upon entering the house you will notice the very high ceilings and large open first floor comprised of a humungous living room and lounging area with TV, the dining area and the fully equipped kitchen. There are sliding glass doors leading outside from the kitchen to the outdoors. There is a patio perfect to enjoy a BBQ or morning coffee. There is seating and a gas grill for guests use on the patio. The pool area is a short walk down the driveway from the backyard. A half bath completes the first floor, conveniently located adjacent to the sliding doors, easy to utilize from the outdoors.
The bedrooms are all located on the 2nd floor, each bedroom is very ample in size and each has its own en-suite full bathroom. Everyone can have their own space! The bedrooms all have a queen bed expect one has a king. Each bedroom has a TV, extra seating and or a desk area. The natural light seems to just fill each bedroom beautifully, no worries there are blackout shutters for sleeping.
Hope Mill House is an easy choice with all the amenities one could ask for while in Cooperstown, NY. The location is very convenient to shops, restaurants, grocery store The Village of Cooperstown and the park.

We absolutely loved this house. We had four baseball moms and a couple baseball siblings and this was the most perfect find for our week at Cooperstown. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen and great room were large and open. We were so pleased with how close the house was to CDP. The pool was wonderful as well and helped us to cool down after a day in the heat at the fields. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has boys staying at CDP. Thank you!!

The location could not be beat for a week at Cooperstown Dreams Park. The four bedrooms were massive and each had its own full bath. There was a small yet functional kitchen. We didn't cook, but the microwave and fridge served us well. We loved having access to a washer and dryer. The backyard worked great for the siblings that ended up staying with us for a short bit of the stay and when the boys came home the night before we left so that they could get cleaned up well before we all started our journeys home. The owner was super helpful by receiving and delivering an Amazon delivery for us before we arrived since it wouldn't be delivered to us at home before we left. She also was quick to respond when we couldn't find the wifi information.
There were quite a few restaurants nearby along with Dollar General, the grocery store, liquor store, and McDonalds. The drive to the park was 4 minutes from pulling out of the parking area to pulling through the gates at Dreams Park.
The only minor issue was one of the beds was super firm compared to others. The AC was fantastic and the rooms had plenty of ways to block out the sun. You couldn't hear the road noise at all. We didn't use the pool because our week was rainy and cold.
