About this apartment rental
This well appointed beach and race track rental in Surfsong is a 2 bedroom / 2 full bath unit with ocean views throughout. Surfsong is BY FAR the most modern, updated, and luxurious complex on the Solana Beach bluff, including elevators from the gated underground parking lot with reserved parking for 2 cars, and it is the only complex on a quiet cul-de-sac street. This unit has the Master Bedroom on the ocean side with a great view. Many of the other oceanfront condos in this area have a master that is not on the ocean side if you look carefully.
Within walking distance to beaches and the racetrack, this unit is perfectly positioned for both. Also within walking distance are the village of Solana Beach and its Cedros Design District where you will find numerous dining and shopping establishments...you never even have to use a car!
However, if you wish to drive by car or Uber, there are many local attractions within 10-15 min such as hiking at Torrey Pines State Beach, exploring nearby beach towns of Del Mar and Encinitas, world-class golf or spas (Torrey Pines, Aviara, La Costa, etc.). There are many family-oriented attractions nearby, such as Legoland, the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, etc.
You can also walk to the train station which takes you downtown for a Padres game or to experience the vibrant nightlife of San Diego, including areas like Little Italy, Gaslamp, Seaport Village, Coronado, etc.. Heading north on the train gets you to Orange County, Laguna, Newport, etc. Just a bit farther are Los Angeles and Disneyland and the rest of LA area attractions.
The unit itself is well equipped with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, tennis and pickleball racquets, etc. The kitchen is well appointed, including Keurig pod coffee maker, drip coffee maker, blender, etc . Flat-screen TV's are located in both bedrooms and the family room. Free WiFi and cable TV are included. The home has been remodeled and feels refreshingly new with stylish beach-themed decor. The floor plan is open and enjoys expansive ocean views from just about the entire home.
Regardless of all there is to do nearby, it’s never a bad option to take a dip in the complex’s heated pool or hot tub, play tennis, or just sit back and relax on the deck with your coffee or wine and enjoy the coastal California lifestyle! The deck spans the entire unit and sports fabulous sunsets and views up and down the beach. You can watch surfers and even dolphins playing in the waves, and occasionally whales (in season).

We very much enjoyed our one week stay at this condo. Two couples in our 70's. We loved the outdoor space with sufficient room for 4 to be comfortable. White water views, surfers, dolphins and pelicans. The constant sound of the waves crashing was the best (especially for sleeping)! The master bedroom with ensuite bathroom was large and comfortable and I left the slider open all night to enjoy the ocean sounds. The kitchen was well stocked and we were easily able to cook a few meals. Parking was safe and convenient, check in/out instructions were very easy to follow, communication with Fred was straightforward. We enjoyed the local Farmers' Market, a live show at the Belly Up, a tour of the Midway and the Old Town Trolley Tour throughout San Diego. Our favorite meal - and margharita - might have been at Salt Lime in Del Mar (try the Ceviche Yucatan). I would recommend this condo: private, tranquil, easy to drive/walk to town, endless restaurants, shopping & activities. What's not to love?

Our entire experience at this property was exceptional. The view of spectacular the property meet and tidy, and just a short walk from the beach and wonderful small restaurants. Our host was beyond gracious in his flexibility with our plans and his responsiveness in communication. The check-in experience is a little complex but very well laid out in the documentation. The parking facility underneath this property is probably the most safe and cleanest I’ve ever seen. We left our bedroom door wall to the balcony open each night, and I cannot remember a time I have slept more soundly as we listened to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below. The walk-in shower in the master bedroom was wonderful and we would absolutely return to this place to stay again while visiting our daughter at Camp Pendleton. Thanks again Fred for everything and we sincerely appreciate all of your flexibility with our travel plans and our amazing stay in Solana Beach.
