About this house rental
Amenities include a brand new 600 square foot deck with unobstructed views of the Fox Chain O' Lakes for the grill-master to enjoy. Only 25 steps away from the home are 2 private 24' docks for those evenings when you want to catch the moonlight off of the water or fish. With 175 feet of private waterfront, our floor-to-ceiling bay window will lend a stunning lake view and has built-in bench seating surrounding a custom-built table designed to accommodate 8 people with 4 additional counter stools that surround the kitchen island.
We have a completely renovated, raised ranch-style home with an open concept including an updated kitchen (with all the amenities) and living room. The master bedroom features a brand-new king bedroom suite with walk-in closet (smart TV). The second bedroom has a queen bed with nightstand and a chair 1/2 twin sleeper featuring direct lake views out of 5 of 7 windows (smart TV). The main floor also has a remodeled bathroom with shower. Also remodeled is our lower-level, featuring a sectional sleeper, a bedroom cove with 2 twin beds accompanied by a trundle unit, updated second bathroom with shower, and a laundry room.
Take a paddle on 1 of 2 kayaks (included) or enjoy conversation around the nice firepit to talk about your memorable day on the lake or your activities in downtown Fox Lake which is only a half-mile away! We have plenty of space in the back yard to set up for a corn-hole tournament or other outdoor activities to keep you outdoors when you are not on the lake.
Summer fun: You will be a 25-minute drive to 6 flags or spend the day at the beautiful Chain O' Lakes State Park which is only an 8-minute drive. The home is also in close proximity to a beach with a park for the kiddos! Head downtown and grab an ice cream, take in a movie at Fox Lake theatre, or browse the local shops.
Winter fun: Whether its snow skiing at Wilmot Mountain which is only a 12 minute drive, Snowmobiling, or Ice Fishing, there are plenty of memories to make!
The Chain O'Lakes, or simply "The Chain", is a waterway system composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river. There are too many restaurants to mention with boat access located on the Chain however we are very close to El Puerto Mexican Restaurant which is a local favorite. Enjoy Blarney's Island which feature a restaurant, bar, and live entertainment daily in the summer and only accessible by boat!

Everything was wonderful. The air was crisp outside but warm and cozy inside. Every essential was available. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 5 adults and one baby and little pup. The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries before our arrival and were great to work at checkout. We hope to return during the warmer seasons to get the full lake life experience. This is NOT a complaint just a recommendation for guests. If you are planning on staying with a baby or someone you would be concerned with an open staircase consider bringing or renting an additional baby gate. The hosts graciously provide one for use but having the second helped greatly.

Absolutely perfection! Our plans changed from when we originally booked. The hosts were so gracious and helped us reschedule. The property was so beautiful. And if we forgot something, it was probably already there. We enjoyed taking the boat out and being on the beautiful lake.We definitely plan to tell our friends and family about this and possibly looking to rebook for another vacation! Thank you so the hosts for an excellent experience!
