About this house rental
The house forms part of the oldest wing of Le Bagnaie, a 300 year old farm on a secluded hilltop, which was converted into 8 privately owned houses in 1990. All are beautifully restored in traditional rustic style with exposed beams, old terracotta floors and open fires, together with the modern convenience of superb marble bathrooms and central heating. Each house has its own paved terrace, garden and the shared facility of beautiful grounds, including a magnificent swimming pool, a children's pool, an all-weather tennis court and boules court. There are outstanding views of the surrounding countryside.

We had a lovely 10 days at Casa del Fico, enjoying the breathtaking view from the garden in April with all the flowers beginning to bloom. The house itself was beautifully decorated in the Tuscan style, and comfortable for our group of 5. It was the perfect base from which to explore all the neighboring towns: Siena, Greve, Radda in Chianti, Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and of course Castellina in Chianti, the nearest village. Our favorite restaurant in Castellina was La Torre. And our favorate local wine was from the nearby vineyard of Lilliano.

This property is beautiful and the hosts were so good at communicating with us before and during our stay. This home is so peaceful and really serine. We had Serina cook for us one night and we had another meal and a half afterward. We hope to return again and spend more time here.

Really enjoyed our stay at Casa del Fico. Emma, the owner, was incredibly responsive and kind. Jackie, the caretaker, was efficient in responding to any questions, and Serena, the cook, was out of this world!!

We HIGHLY recommend a family stay at Villa del Fico if you visit the Tuscany region. The accommodations and amenties were beautiful and comfortable. Our host, Emma made recommendations that were well worth our time. Overall, a memorable experience.!
