Bungalove The garden, the beach. What else ?

Helenne is a great host who truly anticipates her guest's needs and exceeds them. Knowing we were traveling with our toddler, she child proofed the house. We arrived to fruits, bread, and juice in the fridge. As we were arriving in the evening, Helenne made us a delicious Poulet Colombo so we didn't have to worry about dinner!! She and her husband Bernard, are super hosts but even better people. Glad to have met life long friends.

If your dream is quiet peace and tranquility, and to be a part of the "real" Guadeloupe, then you have come to the right place. This place is far from Casinos and the hustle and bustle, but close to local shopping, outside markets, and "downtown" Le Moule. Le Moule, which is a small town with everything you could need, and has a picturesque front row seat to beautiful beaches and stunning landscape. Please Google: "le moule guadeloupe surf." The host is the "host with the most." The host arranged for us to be picked up with a rental car, which was waiting for us when we arrived. We were also taken back to the airport and dropped off. We had to do very little, except bask in tranquility. I will warn that the living conditions do put you very close to nature, which is what we wanted, but not everybody does. The bungalow is very safe, and so are the beaches in front of the bungalow, however, there are people walking around and enjoying the beach. Beaches in Guadeloupe are open to everyone, which is something we enjoy. If you're looking for an exclusive Club Med experience, please look elsewhere. Otherwise, if you are looking for a "real" island experience, and want to be a part of the local vibe, then this place is for you. We never felt unsafe. One more thing, it may take you a night or two to get used to the frogs at night and the sound of the pounding surf, which goes throughout the night. However, once you get used to that, it turns into a very nice nightly lullaby. Although you are basically on the beach, there is a fence and a hedge, which separates you from the beach. The nice part about this is that you can step out of the shower, onto the deck, and sun dry on a lounge chair or hammock, and nobody will see you. This place is perfect for us to literally unplug, However, the wifi does work well without interruptions and has good bandwidth. There is no television, microwave, or stereo. I suggest bringing a couple of good books and lots of sun screen. I almost forgot, almost nobody speaks English, but I assure you that isn't a problem. The people in the shops, restaurants, and gas stations are the most friendly and helpful people you would ever want to meet. Not speaking French should not dissuade you in anyway. We were able to get everything we needed with minimal effort. Also, since this is essentially France, the wine and food is very good and inexpensive.

We visited this lovely, lovely house in Le Moule with our family and it could not have been more perfect. Helenne was incredibly helpful and responsive before our trip and Fatia was an incredible help to us during our stay. The beach is beautiful, the people are lovely and there is everything you could need in town close by. We left feeling recharged and ready for the rest of the year. Thank you for hosting us. It really was such a gift to our family.

Staying at Maison Bleue was just a once of a lifetime experience!. Bernard and Helenne are very hospitable and kind hosts. They made sure everything was in order for our arrival and during our stay. We wanted to travel and discover more of Guadeloupe but this place is so amazing that we stayed there swimming in front of the house, reading and relaxing most of our holidays. The house is very well located, well furnished and well decorated. It is literally on the beach! Almost secluded, there is a natural swimming pool on the lagoon right in the front where it is very safe to swim and play with kids. The garden itself is a botanist wonderland, tropical fruit trees, flowers, palm trees, cactuses and of course all kind of colorful birds.
