Serentiy by the Lake is a beautifully crafted cypress log home peacefully tucked away on 4 wooded acres with direct access to a quiet cove on the south end of Barren River Lake and only a mile away from Browns Ford boat ramp.
Rest and relaxation will come easy in this well-maintained home offering 3 bedrooms that comfortably sleeps 8. The first bedroom with queen bed is conveniently located on the first floor with private bath and direct access to the main living area, private office space, and outside deck. The second story has another bedroom with a queen bed, a bunkhouse bedroom sporting four twin XL bunk beds, and a second full bathroom. All three bedrooms are adorned with new handcrafted cedar log furniture.
Serenity by the lake gives you the privacy you need to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with mother nature. Relax as you grill out on the deck or read a book on the covered porch swing while surrounded by valleys on both sides filled with mature 70-foot hardwood trees teaming with wildlife. Stroll down the trail from the back yard to the lake where you can enjoy complimentary use of two kayaks.
While you will have that off-the grid feel, the fiberoptic Wi-Fi easily keeps all your devices connected to the outside world. You can stream all your favorite shows on the smart t.v. or if work calls, there is a private office space off the downstairs bedroom with computer desk. This home has all the amenities you want to enjoy a tranquil getaway at the lake without sacrificing modern conveniences of home.
**Note-An April storm has downed two large trees blocking the path to the cove. Lake access will be through Browns-Ford boat ramp (1 mile away) until pathway is cleared.

We had such a relaxing stay here! Everything was comfortable and clean. Very secluded property. We had a fire outside and roasted marshmallows, enjoyed walking in the woods down to the lake, and just got a lot of much needed R&R. Kitchen had all the pots and pans I needed for cooking, and we also grilled one meal. WiFi worked great which was perfect because we had two sons on fall break from college who still had some online work to do, and my husband had a work emergency he was able to do online. It was an easy drive to cave city to take a cave tour as well. Beautiful home and property. Thank you for sharing it!

This cabin was exactly what we we hoping for. Absolutely beautiful!!!!

Property was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen could use some plastic wear especially bowls. The plates were good quality but too heavy for the kids. The grill was very greasy and dirty and I cleaned it before we attemped to use it. The storm doors didn't latch or shut completely and that was unsafe for our toddler. Also, the wooden french door onto the dining area had a loose handle. Upstairs the drain in bathtub did not drain properly. One of the cornhole game bags was damaged making it hard to keep score properly. We brought life jackets but since owners are providing the kayaks it would be nice to have some available as the nearest store was 20 plus minutes away.
An information guide in the cabin telling about things in the area and some information regarding what was available for food, medical info. etc would have been nice. We relied on the internet for all of this info. All other places that we have stayed provided this info.
We felt that for the amt. that we paid for the two nights there could have been more upgrades.
