We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here along with our friends 20th wedding anniversary as well. We booked for 12 days. The Royal Islander La Terrese is a little outdated itself, however our rental unit was in very good condition. Both bedrooms were comfortable for sleeping and the AC worked very well. Kitchen was nicely set up with plenty of utensils and everything we needed to cook meals. Beach towels provided, however the resort front desk handed out fresh towels daily for pool use and we used them for the beach and just exchanged daily. The owner was extremely nice, his communication was outstanding, we were even able to meet up for drinks one afternoon. Our son came down for a few days and slept on the pull out couch.
We ended each night with cocktails on the balcony enjoying the heat. My only suggestion for the balcony would be add a ceiling fan, the humidity got pretty bad some nights, but to be expected I believe.
Views from our balcony were just as beautiful and the landscaping was cleaned up daily.
We hit up the hot tub every morning and hit up the pool area mostly every night.
The pool area and pool itself were lovely and well-maintained. Easy access to the observation deck to watch planes which we did nightly.
There is a market below reasonable priced, underground parking and 24 hour security. Which was very nice.
It is located in a great location near good restaurants and beaches!! Overall would stay there again that's for sure!!
