About this house rental

Although this East Nashville area home sits in the middle of nature with a huge park and paved trails right in its backyard, it is just minutes away from some of Nashville's hottest establishments including nationally recognized restaurants, music venues, bars, and eclectic shops. It's not far from Downtown Nashville and also less than 10 minutes to the Opry area. If you want to live like a local and enjoy the outdoors, you'll love it here.

This renovated 2,200+ square foot 4 bedroom home includes a spacious kitchen, huge living room plus den, dining room, four bedrooms including a large primary suite with a remodeled spa-like bathroom, one additional full bathroom, and deck adjacent to the greenway entrance. Light pours into the living space as windows overlook the scenic park. Fully stocked kitchen sits between the dining room and exterior deck for easy access for those who wish to entertain. A deck looks privately onto the huge and luscious trees of Shelby Bottoms Park with owls, rabbits, tree frogs, and deer making frequent appearances in the backyard. As the Cumberland River is right around the corner, the General Jackson riverboat cruise can be heard in the distance with its lively music.

Guests have access to the full house, yard, off street parking in the driveway, and direct entrance into the Shelby Bottoms Greenways. The Greenways are miles and miles of paved biking and walking trails extending throughout East Nashville all the way to Downtown Nashville, plus over to the Donelson/Opry areas, Mount Juliet, and beyond. Everybody from marathon runners to competitive cyclists to families taking leisurely strolls enjoy the tree-lined paths along the river, and hiking trails add a little diversion to the paths.

WiFi and cable are provided, with a large flat screen in the living room and small flat screen in the primary bedroom.

Inside, the kitchen is fully stocked with newer appliances (fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave), a toaster, blender, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, pots/pans, and spices.

A full-sized washer and dryer is available to guests free of charge, and is convenient to the four bedrooms.

The reason we purchased this home was because it seemed to be the perfect blend between having city conveniences with wide open spaces and nature in the backyard. Megan is a city girl, Adam is more of a country loving boy, and this awesome location fulfilled both needs. The Greenways are amazing and having the river within steps helped calm our desire to be near water.

Riverside Village is less than a five minute drive and includes:
1. Nationally recognized Mitchell Deli, which was featured on TLC's America's Best Sandwich.
2. Village Pub neighborhood bar with locally famous Moscow Mules and pretzel sandwiches.
3. Dose Cafe and Dram Bar serves excellent food, coffee, plus cocktails, and is a great place to work remotely.
4. Ladybird Taco has delicious tacos and drinks. Don’t miss the breakfast tacos!
5. Bite a Bit restaurant and bar features excellent Japanese, Thai food, and fabulous cocktails.
6. Sho Pizza Bar by Chef Sean Brock serves Neo-Neapolitan pizza fresh from a handmade wood-fired oven.
7. Sabell's Grill: Neighborhood tavern serving Mediterranean style plates, burgers, and a great happy hour.
8. Curry Boys BBQ is a unique and tasty combination of Southeast Asian Curry mixed with Texas BBQ.
9. Riverside Pharmacy for medical needs or items you forgot to pack, plus a doctor's office next door that allows walk ins. East Nashville's gorgeous historic neighborhoods, nationally recognized restaurants, music venues, and bars are an easy few minute drive or Uber/Lyft/Waymo/Cab ride away.
20. Golden Prawn, takeout Chinese food.
21. Hattie Jane's Creamery (ice cream)

The location of the house was great but unfortunately their housekeeper did not do them any justice. It was not very clean. The place has great potential. The house could use a few repairs.Toilet seat in the small bathroom was looseStairs getting into the place or leaning forward and they’re not very wide, not very safe.
