CARIHUELA PLAYA Los Nidos 1

Family of five, and we had a great time. Isabel is a wonderful host - very responsive. Pros * Spacious, bright, and clean apt, nice size bedrooms, especially the master * On site parking, very critical during busy seasons * Lovely terrace to sit and enjoy breakfast, coffee, wine, etc * 2 short blocks to "the action" - beach, restaurants, cafes, shops, etc * Excellent WiFi, was very important during our stay * VERY clean apartment * LOTS of linens, towels, etc available * TWO FULL bathrooms was very useful with a houseful * Bakery on the corner to get our morning pastries * HUGE swimming pool, great to cool off after a long day * Excellent closet space * Washing machine in apartment (unfortunately, no dryer - clothes may take a day to dry completely, as drying rack does not get direct sun) Cons (Not many) * Apartment could use a few "extra touches" - some floor and table lamps (only overhead lighting - no reading lamps in bedrooms or living room * TV was missing remote, could not get TV to work (short term problem I am sure) * Holder brackets for the both shower hoses were missing or not functional, therefore could not take a shower without constantly holding the hose. A minor inconvenience, but also a minor fix that should have been looked after * Could use a toaster in the apt * THIS is a BIG ONE if you have a vehicle - entrance to the garage is EXTREMELY tight if you have a full size car, or van. Dinged our rental vehicle trying to get in one night, though granted it was a huge car. But this is something that should be made clear in the listing. * Could use some rugs here and there on the cold marble floors, at least by the beds * Drawer space in 2nd and 3rd BR's is minimal, but closet space is good Bear in mind that this is not really a Luxury Rental but it serves its use VERY well, and as I said, it is clean, bright, and spacious, and an excellent location in the Carihuela Beach neighborhood. And other than the garage situation, we REALLY enjoyed staying here, felt totally comfortable for the five of us. And all of the minor "cons" can be remedied with a few hundred bucks and a trip to Ikea :-)

We stayed at this apartment for a week with our 3 kids. We had a great time and the owners were very helpfull. It's 1 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping street with supermarket. The Wi-Fi was very fast and in the house was a washing machine and dishwasher. The 2 bathrooms were also very nice as we stayed with 6 people in the house. If you are fit you can also walk to Torremolinos or take the bus. A taxi to Torremolinos will cost you only 5 euros. Also the owners provide taxi-service from and to the airport which was very nice. I would defenitly rent this apartment again.
