About this apartment rental

Charm and culture: a dream holiday out of time at the center of the world. The proximity with the Odescalchi Castle and the spectacular view of the Bracciano lake make this location unique, gifting it with a magic and romantic atmosphere, a charm of the past that will make your vacation unforgettable. The residence is located in a former Convent of the 15th century, in Bracciano's medieval town opposite the Odescalchi Castle and it's finely refurbished respecting contemporary interiors : exposed beams, coffered ceiling, terracotta's pianella, fireplace and original stone portals from the time are only some of its beautiful characteristics. The old structure masterfully combines with modern living comforts and offers: three bathrooms with modern showers and bath, four bedrooms, two spacious walk-in closets, a sitting room, professional kitchen with center island and large fireworks designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano.
The advantages of this residence are strategic because it is not only located in the heart of the old town (close to the best restaurants, typical shops and supermarkets) but also because Rome is easily reachable (40 KM ) as its airport (Fiumicino- Leonardo da Vinci) and Civitavecchia harbour.
Besides the location is also well positioned for taking day trips to Umbria and Tuscany. It offers a unique experience providing some of the best places in Italy for peace, quiet, gorgeous and artistic scenery.
From the residence you can walk down to the Bracciano Lake and to the local train station where you can take the train to Rome, directly connected to the Subway (Stations of San Pietro and Valle Aurelia) and to the City of Viterbo, the heart of Etruscan Tuscia.
This residence was created by combining two apartments; Therefore its breadth and distribution on three floors can easly accommodate large families or more couples of friends at the same time, safeguarding their privacy.
N.B. The sum of 10% of the rental fee will be requested at the arrival for utilities costs( ENERGY AND TOURISM TAXES)

We were initially concerned that staying in Bracciano would be too far from the sites we wanted to see in Rome. However, our stay in Bracciano was so much more relaxing since we were away from the hectic pace of Rome. The authentic narrow streets, old buildings, awesome castle, and lake elevated our vacation to another level. The train was a convenient and inexpensive way to get to anywhere we wanted in Rome. We took an Uber from the cruise port at the beginning of our stay and to the airport to fly home. We had some of the best meals we've ever had at numerous small restaurants within a block or two of the apartment. The apartment was very roomy and clean with skylights in the upper two bedrooms and a spacious balcony to enjoy the quiet mornings and evenings. We loved exploring the old streets, castle, and beautiful lake. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

It is probably impossible to find an apartment in a better location. In the beautiful old section of the city, literally steps from Bracciano's famed castle, in a former 15th Century Convent, on the second floor (American storeys), one short flight up from the ground. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully appointed, with books and photographs and beautiful furniture -- it really feels like someone's home. You walk into a foyer, and can see the living room (with fireplace) and terrace beyond; then there's another room, a bathroom, an enormous eat-in kitchen (with great appliances), and then the master bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. Then, upstairs, there's 2 more bedrooms and another half-bath. And did I mention there's a beautiful terrace with views of the river? You're right above incredible restaurants, too (and the noise from them isn't too bad). The owner of the apartment was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful. She gave me a tour of the place and then left me alone for the month. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. By all means consider it if you have a large group of people -- it could probably sleep 10 or more, at a pinch. I adored my time in the apartment -- it was tranquil, gorgeous, clean, and utterly welcoming.

The apartment is centrally located, with all the shops and restaurants within a quick walking distance. It is just a short 10 minute walk from the train station, making it easily accessible for those who are traveling by rail. All of the recommendations from the host were excellent. We took the train into Rome and spent a day there. So much to see yet it was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.

Our family of four had a great time at this charming apartment in beautiful Bracciano. The apartment had plenty of room to spread out. There’s a nice balcony with a view of the lake and the 15th century streets. Bracciano is an ideal location. Not crowded, lots of wonderful restaurants, boutiques and the lake is clear and great for swimming. It’s an easy 1 hour train ride to Rome and a great respite from the bustling, crowded city. Marina is a gracious, kind and helpful host.
