This absolutely gorgeous Log Cabin Lodge is great for that special family get together or for a romantic getaway with that special person. The four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths accommodate up to 12 persons comfortably. The spacious kitchen, dining area, and family room allows plenty of room for family gatherings. The Cabin is equipped with two laundry facilities for convenient laundering. The basement provides a bonus room finished as a large family room, and equipped with a bar and a bumper pool table.

The porch, which wraps 360 degrees around the Cabin, offers a spectacular view of 10 miles of the Ohio River. Enjoy watching boats and barges navigating the river, deer and wildlife wandering in the woods, and even an occasional airplane landing on the river. Facing the river, the porch offers a sunset bar to sit at, sip a drink and enjoy the gorgeous view.

This place is definitely remote, but in the best way possible. The closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away. The property has neighbors close by, but the surrounding trees provide privacy. The road getting here is narrow with a few sharp curves, so pay attention to the speed limit. The deck that wraps around the house was great for all of us to relax and enjoy the view of the river. Overall, the area is peaceful and quiet. The lodge itself is VERY baby friendly. There were baby gates and a high-chair to use. Cleanliness could have been better, but it was not something that would stop me from staying again. You can hear people walking on the floor above you, but it was not super loud (and never woke anyone up). Overall, everyone had a good time and enjoyed the stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

My husband and I, took our six grandchildren on vacation to experience the Ark Encounter. The property was well equipped for our stay, and the children loved everything regarding the trip. However, the cabin itself, is a very loud structure, and I had never experienced a cistern water system, which was all very interesting. The televisions failed to operate properly, with 4 remotes. But we were so busy with adventures, that we didnt miss them much. The host were very informative and available. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

This cabin has a mountain feel with the trees and surrounding area, but the view over the river is spectacular. Drinking coffee from the deck and watching barges float by with all the nature you could ask for. We were blessed to be greated by a baby fawn at the foot of the stairs. It never moved even though we were all around. The momma came and took it home later.Beds are very comfy but you will want to spend as much time as you can on the deck looking at the water. The drive to and from the home is just as good as the home itself. Highly recommend!

We only stayed for 2 nights and were not in the cabin very much mostly just to sleep. The kitchen looked fully stoked if cooking while there. I will say if you have more than a few people the floors make a lot of noise making the lower level harder to sleep in if you are a light sleeper. The amenities do list hair dryer, but only one for 3 full baths so be prepared if large crowd. The view from the porch of the Ohio River was beautiful

We were happily surprised find that the listing for four bedrooms 3 1/2 baths for this property turned out to be five bedrooms four bathrooms! One suggested place to go ended up being closed for quite a while, not a problem for us, but might be for other guests. All in all, an enjoyable location with great views of the Ohio River valley.

Since our new condo was not ready to move in, we needed a place for the family to have Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin is perfect. Plenty of room for everyone and a wonderful kitchen. The view is so nice but yet we were within 45 minutes of home. Made it easy for everyone to come and go. Thank you

We stayed an extended weekend at the Jolly Cabin and it was wonderful! The property is beautiful and home like and has plenty of room for lots of people. It included 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. The kitchen is nice and roomy and easy to cook in, big dining and living area. There is a large basement that is in itself like a small apartment. There were kids toys and a high chair. The outside deck wraps around the entire house and has seating in all areas as well as a porch swing. The side facing the river has a bar area to eat as you watch the boats. The inside of the cabin was decorated with antiques and has real animals that were taxidermied. Our grandson loved them! There is a huge laundry room as well. This place was wonderful. The owner Barry is easy to reach and helps with any question. I will definitely stay again if we decide to head that way again. Top notch!

Could have been a little cleaner in some areas and air was set to 80 so we arrived at 4pm but at 1030pm it was still 78 degrees in the cabin. Had a small problem with hot water but Barry was responsive and came out that night to fix the problem. Overall, nice cabin and we had a good time.

It was absolutely remote and private. We were visiting the Ark, Creation Museum and the Cincinati Zoo among others and it was conveniently located in the middle of our travels. The personal service Barry offered was above and beyond The Log cabin carried some sounds in the tri level but was excellent for our big group. The two year old was fascinated by the barges passing up and down the river.

We had an issue with stove not working but the owners brought a new one the first night there. Loved the house. Very nice views. The owners are very nice. We didn't mind but the road coming to the house is a little rough. Just drive slow. If we are ever back in the area, we will stay here again.

The sunsets were beautiful off the deck! Plenty of space for vacationing with our young adult children. We all loved the home, the wildlife, and watching the river. We enjoyed the Ark Encounter and the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, they were both excellent! Great communication from Barry.

We had a great time. Would definitely stay again. Some things not mentioned in the listing that we found out after booking are: 1. Bring water for drinking and cooking. They say it is safe, but still suggest you bring drinking/cooking water. 2. There is no fishing allowed from property and you can't get to the river bank from the cabin. Neither of these affected our trip, but were things we didn't expect and found out when we got our check in details. Bedroom details seemed a little unclear to me in the listing so this maybe helpful. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. One has a bed that is a swing. One has two beds. The other has one bed with ensuite bathroom. The main level has a large bedroom with access outside and an ensuite bathroom. The drive on that side is really steep, but this bedroom is great for anyone who cannot easily get up and down stairs as the kitchen and living area is on this floor as well as a fabulous wrap around porch. There is an additional bathroom on this floor as well. The basement has been updated in a modern feel. There is a king bed, living area, and bathroom down there. There are laundry rooms in the basement and main floor. I wish I were there watching the boats go by and drinking my morning coffee now! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Enjoy!

This home was perfect for our family and had more bathrooms and space than we had even anticipated. My parents had their own bedroom/bathroom on the main floor, my sister and husband had the second bedroom with its own bathroom in the lower floor and my husband and I also had our own bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. My 25 year old son had his own room and my nephews had a room which had two beds. They shared a bathroom on the main floor. Plenty of room for us to sleep and spread out. My son and nephews spend quite a bit of time in the lower level playing poker, bumper pool and my son brought video games- this was their hang out room. The rest of us spent a lot of time on the huge porch just soaking up the view of the Ohio River and the many barges that come by. The kitchen is fully stocked and we ate every meal at the house except one for the week. The location and neighbor area is very safe and quiet. We went to the Ark which was 40 mins away, kayaking in caves which was an hour and half away and to the Wright Patterson Airforce base which was amazing and free! There was also two laundry areas at the house so you can pack light. We enjoyed our family time in this beautiful home!

Our stay at the Jolly Cabin was a blessing as we celebrated 50 years of marriage with kids and grandkids and visited the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. The kitchen helped us host large family meals and we had gorgeous sunsets and fires at night. The kids enjoyed the basement hangout area. The scenic, hilly, rustic drive added to the adventure and we saw deer, heard turkeys, fireflies, and lots of other wildlife from the porches/decks.

We were in the area to visit the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Cincinnati Zoo. The location is remote and surrounded by nature, but close enough to visit all three attractions. We loved the log cabin feel and view of the river (could have spent all day watching the barges). Host was very responsive to questions both before and during the visit. Kitchen had all the glasses, plates, utensils, etc that we needed and there were abundant towels, sheets, etc. for the bedding. Property is large enough for a big family or multiple families, but with enough separate spaces for privacy. For light sleepers, it's worth noting that you do hear movement and flexing floors on the levels above you.

POSITIVES: quiet/pretty setting, kitchen well supplied, cute clean bathrooms, children's toys available, grills and firepit available, access to Wi-Fi/TV very good, bedrooms very sufficient. NEGATIVES: older outdoor furniture and some broken ( though may have been from result of previous guests), appeared cleaning crew had not completed laundry from previous guests, trash had not been picked up
