This stay was at the end of a six-week tour of Portugal and Galicia in which we had stayed in a number of self catering properties. We thought this was one of the best. It is a lovely old house, elegantly extended and renovated to a high standard using fine timber and marble to create a harmonious space. It is well-appointed with a marvellous collection of interesting and quirky objects. We were very comfortable there and everything worked well, apart from a couple of light bulbs. Unfortunately the weather was grey and cool throughout our 3-day stay so we could not take advantage of the lovely beaches. But we did enjoy the local walks suggested by the owner and the cliff top walk at Punta de Estaca de Bares.

We found Pilar very helpful when we were forced to cancel and re book our stay a year later.The property was very clean and has had a lot of money well spent on it.The surrounding area is very beautiful,we found many pretty towns and the nearby port cafes and restaurant are well worth a few visits.Thanks again Pilar for all your help.Glenn and Elaine Cooper,UK

"We spent here one week in July 2013. The house is very clean and the kitchen is complete. You have privacy. You can stay here with 2 children. I recommend to rent a car. You have restaurant and shops in Port o Barqueiro, Viveiro and Ortigueira. There are many special, nice and wild beaches. Pilar and his family are very nice and worm and they speak English. Generally it is better if you know Spanish language, but this is not a problem. We feel very very very well in this cottage. Do not hesitate, stay here you won''t be sorry. "
