The apartment was clean, which I really appreciate.

1. Although the streets on both sides seemed quiet, the noise level was actually very high. Every sound from cars passing by or people talking on the street echoed loudly into the room. On the last night, one of the neighbours played disco music all night long, which made it impossible to sleep. 2. The host asked me to leave €21 in cash inside the apartment for the city tax. During my whole trip around Europe, I usually paid this tax online directly to the local authorities. When I asked for a receipt, they told me they would mail me an invoice, but I never received anything. I still don’t understand why they couldn’t provide a simple receipt to prove that the tax was properly paid. This made me feel very uncomfortable and uncertain about the transparency of their process.
