Casa da Amparo is a cosy modern building just off the main road south of Horta. The location is quiet with easy reach to the Capelinhos interpretive center, the Caldeira, and Horta. Varadouro, where there is a very nice swimming spot, is just minutes away. The house has everything I need and more. A fully equipped kitchen, nice shower, comfortable bed, washer, outside drying rack, comfortable living room.. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with the host Nuno about Faial, the Azores. American diaspora, the economy, and more.
Everything was great.
