Amazing One Bed Flat Wimbledon

Close to town. Basic and efficiently furnished.

The cute patio doesn’t actually exist All of the blinds were broken with huge gaps, where people could see directly inside, even when the blinds are closed Providing zero privacy from the street as well as the side of the house where neighbors walked back-and-forth regularly. (Please replace them - it feels unsafe) It’s a long unit on the lower side of a property. The regular tenants who live upstairs get up early walk loudly. From 6:30 AM on it was hard to sleep. The side of the house is gravel and they walked back-and-forth along the gravel and we’re working on a motorbike for hours revving the engine. This was on a Friday.

Clean and bright. Quiet, safe location short walk from the shops/restaurants, and train station and 15min walk. Well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and lounge. Good WiFi. Bed is smallish but comfy and lots of clothing storage space.

Little upgrades would have made a big difference - fixing the broken blinds in kitchen and lounge, the broken tile on kitchen floor. Also instructions for the shower (water was scalding hot, never quite managed to get it right), and which bins to put recycling in etc would help. The walls are paper thin, so when the family upstairs come in and out, kids are running around and they have their washing machine on, etc, it feels like they are in the next room! They aren't noisy, just the partition walls are not insulated.

It was spacious and well appointed.

The blind in the bathroom didn’t work which compromised privacy.

Really nice apartment. Very comfortable and quiet, nicely appointed. The neighborhood is comfortable and feels very safe, with many young professionals and families living there. There’s also a lovely coffee shop/breakfast cafe around the corner where I enjoyed eating bfst every morning.

One caveat on how quiet it is: there is a family living upstairs, and you do hear them moving around a lot in the early morning. But even as a noise sensitive person it wasn’t a big issue.
