Lake House Home Stay

Best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Owners organized and setup tours around the city for a great price. They were also very helpful giving ideas as to what to expect for prices to ensure that we are charged fairly. Will be coming back

Fantastic homestay, the family who run it are so kind and helpful. Nice atmosphere and delicious food. Offer great tours around the city too, definitely recommend.

The facilities, the staff and being a bit out of the main strip but also close enough to get a 5 minute tuk tuk

The value of this accommodation is exceptional.

The owner is very smiley, but it comes with him trying to sell you every service during your stay in Anuradhapura. I decided to go on a tuk-tuk tour that he had organised and had agreed on the price of 7,000 rupees. After the tour, he told me that there had been a miscommunication and that it would be 14,000 rupees. This was dishonest. The property is very far from all other dinning options so it is challanging to eat elsewhere. I have stayed in many budget rooms in sri lanka with a fan and open windows. This stay had the most mesquitos of anywhere on my two months in sri lanka. Around 20 mesquitos in the room and 30 in the bathroom at all times.
