I had a wonderful stay! The environment was peaceful and calm, making it a very relaxing experience. The host was incredibly friendly and approachable, always happy to arrange anything I needed. A very comfortable stay overall—highly recommended!

Rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate. Host was extremely responsive and friendly. Suggestions to improve utility of premises: microwave, mini fridge, water filter in kitchen. It would be great to have dedicated utensils in the unit, host brought in everything we requested immediately.

I stayed here in January 2026. This was my first trip to Tiruvannamalai, and I am Japanese visiting from Japan. The purpose of my journey was to visit the ashram of Ramana Maharshi and to make a pilgrimage around Arunachala. This guesthouse was absolutely wonderful. I truly feel fortunate to have found this place — I can hardly imagine what kind of accommodation I might have ended up with if I had not stayed here. About 20 years ago, I traveled around North India, but this was my first time in South India. In many ways, India still feels as if time has stopped. In such an environment, I was very grateful to discover a guesthouse that stood out so clearly from the surroundings in terms of atmosphere and quality. The place is simple, but above all, extremely clean. Hot water is always available, the bed is comfortable, and everything was just perfect. The owner welcomed me very warmly, and the level of hospitality was exceptional. The owner’s mother is also very kind and lovely, and staying here felt like coming back to my own home. From the window, you can see peaceful rural fields, where goats and cows graze. Sometimes wild peacocks even fly into the garden. From the balcony, you can see the beautiful Arunachala. Ramana Ashram is about a 10-minute walk, roughly one kilometer. I walked there every morning — it is the perfect distance for a gentle walk. The area feels safe even early in the morning while it is still dark, and once the sun rises, auto-rickshaws often pass by, so it is easy to catch one if needed. The owner also provided a rental bicycle, so I rode around the area. The road conditions are terrible (laugh), but that is also part of the fun of India. Stray dogs and cows are simply part of daily life here, and you can also see monkeys — Hanuman himself. There is a primary school near the guesthouse, and hearing the cheerful voices of children creates a very peaceful atmosphere. The owner is always happy to help if you need anything. When I returne
