Leaves N' Spi-ces Heritage House

In short, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's planning a stay in Alleppey. Rino is amazingly helpful. I travelled solo and this was my first time in Kerala. But rino made the stay feel so comfortable and easy by letting me know about the local directions of hotels and places to visit. I wanted to explore the village areas in Alleppey so he gave me his bicycle using which I could easily visit all the places including the villages, backwaters and restaurants. I didn't need to think about hiring an auto or renting a scotty. His family is also so warm and loving (though I interacted for a short time as they stayed in another house) that I felt so homely. Overall, I would say the kind of hospitality and comfort I received at Leaves N' Spices is beyond the explanation I put here. I have read good reviews but honestly I can vouch that all of them are exactly how it felt staying at Leaves N' Spices. The room was a single-bed room and was so perfect for a solo traveller, with all facilities like attacked bathroom and wifi services. Rino himself explained calmly all the backwater activities that I can do in Alleppey, so it was not much of a hassle for me to pick one. I decided to perform kayaking which rino himself arranged via his connection and it was amazing to do kayaking in the backwaters early in the morning. Just on my way back, unfortunately i damaged my phone for which I was so clueless what to do next without the phone. Rino helped me a lot during that time. Like an elder brother, he himself explained to me how to reach Ernakulam jn. (as my train was scheduled the same day) and himself drove me to the bus stand and waited until I got into the bus. The mobile loss didn't create trouble for my back journey because Rino ensured himself that I feel no difficulty in reaching the train station in Ernakulam from Alleppey. With such kindness from Rino, I am so overwhelmed.

Perfect location, right in the middle of allepy. The home was also very beautiful. Some minor facilities betterment and cleanliness would make it even better. Overall the experience was very nice. The host was very friendly and accommodating and helpful. He gave us good recommendations for exploring places around and a good deal on the shikara ride. Pls keep in mind that this is a 120 year old property so expect the ambience to be accordingly. I would recommend this property to group of friends, family and couples.

The entrance is very very narrow. Our car (brezza) could barely come inside. We had to fold the mirrors and somehow manage because we had a good driver. A big car or SUV would not reach the property from the main road at all. And this problem is nowhere mentioned in the booking portal. This makes accessibility a bit difficult. This was the only issue, everything else was okay.

Here's a refined version: Robin was extremely helpful in providing information about Alleppey. He even offered to escort me to the town on his scooter. The property has a rich history, and the garden is lush with herbs and spices. The caretaker was very helpful too with food and drinks.
