Very quirky and lovely and comfortable at the cottage. Views and river from the balcony were very relaxing. Petrol station and Spar shop literally 2 minutes up the road was so handy and there was a lovely little pub with food, pool table etc just 10 minutes down the road which I believe was called the Lion and the lamb. There was a beautiful lake just 15 minutes up the road. We’re gutted we didn’t take our paddle boards there. Then Scarfel Pike was just 35 minutes from the cottage which was amazing and unbelievable views.

It wasn’t a cottage as stated it was a 3 floor town house with very very steep stairs, I had my 84 year old mum with me and she had to crawl up the stairs to the top landing, so it’s certainly not for elderly, it only has 3 seats in the living but sleeps 4 so would be better with 2 , 2 seater couches but only has 1 2 seater and a chair.
