The bed was not comfortable mattress didn't fit properly no vent in bathroom so floor was constantly wet due to condensation was really cold was dirty spoons under drawers and messy under sofa the cooker got quiet smokey while on as hadn't been cleaned then ther was the bugs these small cockroach things everywhere in the cutlery draw on the fridge on the floor I spoke to person on desk as my partner suffers with lung problems and asthma and has a very low immune system and the man said don't worry about it they only stay in kitchen they don't go in bedroom etc and gave me a tin of insect spray so I took photos of everyone of those bugs which where in kitchen under the bed under the sofa under the desk no offer to move us rooms and when I booked I tried to bring our 13 year old son and was not allowed as it's an adult only hotel no children and when we walked through lobby ther was a lady with a child and lots of cases either checking in are checking out definitely will not be going back 👎

Get the Studio Room instead of the Budget Room if you can

Easy to find. Had our own bathroom inside the room, and it was quite clean. Room had its own TV. The kitchen impressed us and was shared with only about 5 other rooms, which was nice and meant we had fridge space! Staff at reception were attentive and were happy to swap our initial room.

The bed wasn't very comfortable. The WiFi wasn't the best. The hallways smelt like cigarettes and weed. We didn't realise it was a student hall as this was not advertised! Whilst the location was quite central, it was noisy at night and we think we heard someone get stabbed outside in the early hours...

Okay room, good location if you wanna eat out.

It’s alright for a student accommodation. It was in a good location, plenty of places to eat at and shops are close by. Room was relatively clean, staff was friendly. Had an issue with fire alarm going off very early in the morning, I let someone know and it didn’t happen again. There was a shared kitchen but I didn’t get to use it as I was eating out.

The room would get pretty cold, had to keep the heating on and the curtains closed so it stays warm. Did have an issue with water in the shower being very cold, I let someone know and they fixed it but the next day it went cold again but it wasn’t as cold as it was initially. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with my room or the area where my room was.

Went to book in no one at reception waited 15 minutes no one, rang the number again no answered . Called later that day again no answer went there around 9 pm again no one on reception. Booked into another Hotel. You can check I did not sign in .

Perfect for what I needed, you get what you get when staying in student halls.

Location was great for city centre needs, price excellent for what I needed. Room was perfectly clean.

Kitchen had chicken bones on the floor. Motion sensor lighting was not sensitive enough and switched off after 5 seconds of no movement, meaning when sat trying to work I kept having to wave my hand to keep the light on. Chair at the desk wouldn't stay raised, as soon as I sat on it it sunk to lowest level.

Bed and the room, luck of ventilation, specifically in the toilet, no fan, smells of cigarettes , bedding no headboard, duvet cover, and pillow cases were used with smells and I had have to ask to get it changed wall next the bed was dirty with marks of speats.

The internet connection kept coming on and off and the lights in the hotel room also kept going off which was really annoying and at times they don't come back on… the place has some serious electrical faults

Directions for check-in were clear and the room had decent storage for clothes and luggage. Kitchen was stoked with dishes, which isn't always a given in student housing.

Taking into consideration the 248 halls is currently and evidently being refurbished on the ground floor entrance corridor,the rooms are adequately equipped with lighting ,bed,sufficient towels and body/hand soap dispensers were full. The property is reasonably priced,I would definitely return

Pleasant experience.

Great location, great price. The little details can make so much difference, like this scented candle in the room. It's a self check in but the staff member at the end of the phone (Brandon) was very helpful. Each of the little sections has its own kitchen and dining area which is great.

Because they are having work done on the building, there isn't much signage up at the moment and the hotel is a veritable Warren's den (meaning lots of corridors going off in different directions if you don't know the expression) so it's a little confusing when you first get there. Luckily the staff will help you through, in person or at the end of a line depending on what time you get there. I believe this is just temporary though, as once the work is finished I understand there will be clear signage. The rooms I was in was small, but very comfortable. There was no kettle etc in the room, but you have access to a kitchen area so this is not a problem.

Cockroaches!!!

AVOID!! Cockroaches in bathroom and kitchen. Horrendous place. Entrance and lift full of rubbish. Dirtiest lift I’ve ever been in. Corridors smelt awful. This is not student accommodation being used as a hotel over summer. It’s student accommodation with people living there full time . No towels. No Wi-Fi. Horrible mattress. Sounds of students predrinking through thin wall. Young chap that let me in was friendly.

Very pleasant.

Convenient location, easy check in and pleasant staff. The room was well decorated and very clean. On the morning I was due to check out someone knocked on my door to make sure I knew where to leave my key. Communal kitchen was also very clean.

The building was a little bit like a maze but the member of staff who checked me in showed me the way to my room 👍🏽
