Waterfront Lux Cottage With Amazing Views Near DC

Lovely bay front property in affluent area. There’s no beach, so you can’t really swim, but the deck and nice and the views are beautiful. Kitchen was very well stocked both with cookware and spices, etc. House was very clean. Five minutes drive to a nice waterfront restaurant, 20 min walk to town.

The air conditioning was not the most effective. Even with all the mini splits on, it felt very warm. And the mini split in the main bedroom made an awful clicking sound so we had to turn it off and it was pretty hot at night. Also, maybe we misunderstood or didn’t try the door hard enough, but it was advertised 3 bedrooms however the door to the upstairs was locked. So one of the adults had to sleep on a bunk bed. Not the end of the world but not quite what we were expecting.

The Host was very communicative and accommodating. The house was adorable, and the view of the Chesapeake was fantastic! We spent the evening on the outdoor patio enjoying the perfect June weather and gorgeous views. I will return again, when I am in the area.

The historic nature of its 100 years. It’s very charming and really comfortable. Pillows and throw blankets are everywhere in the cottage, making it cosy . The hardwood floors are beautiful, and the sunporch invites you to curl up with some tea and a good book. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. Original wood abound in cabinets, moldings, etc.
