We had a generally good stay at this property in Zanzibar. The location is decent. It’s a bit far from the main beach area, but if you have a car, it’s not a problem at all. Nungwi Beach can be reached in about a 30-minute walk or a short drive. One of the main advantages is that it’s a standalone house, which makes it quiet and private. There is plenty of space, a separate bedroom, a nice terrace, a good kitchen overall, and a good shower. The territory feels spacious and peaceful.
There were a couple of downsides. The doors have automatic closers (like in shops), which makes them inconvenient — you constantly have to hold them open. The biggest issue, however, was electricity. Power outages are common in Zanzibar, and while the property has a generator, it does not power the air conditioners. Unfortunately, we had two very hot days without electricity, and the AC was not working. In such heat, this becomes a major drawback.
