ROOMS El Descanso del Peregrino por la Costa

All kinds of foods and drinks were provided because the home is not near a supermarket or restaurants. Host took us to the restaurant herself and arranged for a friend to bring us home after! We had a great stay there- beautiful view and comfortable house with three bedrooms, so you’re not sharing the kitchen with too many other people. Also she let us do our laundry for free.

Loved this little house. It was right off the Camino and easy to find. The hosts, Alicia and Juan, were lovely and kind. There were drinks and food in the kitchen for us to make dinner and snacks. The view and the sunset were beautiful. We met some other people and enjoyed conversation with them.

Eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, die leider kein Englisch sprach. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner und das Waschpulver wird bereitgestellt. Die liegt direkt am Camino und ist sehr für Pilger geeignet. Schwimmen gehen am Strand ist allerdings nicht möglich.

10/10 – A Home Away From Home Our stay with Juan and Alicia was one of the highlights of our Camino. From the moment we arrived, they didn’t treat us like guests—they treated us like friends and welcomed us into their home with genuine warmth and kindness. They went above and beyond in every way imaginable. They picked us up, drove us into town and even chauffeured us to a wonderful restaurant. Alicia brought us fresh fruit, and they welcomed us with wine, snacks, and even cold beers waiting in the refrigerator. Their hospitality was extraordinary and made us feel cared for every step of the way. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing—the perfect place to rest after a day on the Camino. Every detail showed how much love and thought Juan and Alicia put into making their guests feel at home. In all our travels, we have rarely experienced such genuine generosity and kindness. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it was an experience we will always remember. Thank you, Juan and Alicia, for making us feel like family.
