Host sent a WhatsApp message at 7:45am to remind us that check out was at 10am. We had only checked in the evening before and were already reminded of the checkout time then. The message actually woke me up which was annoying as we’d been traveling 8hrs + the previous day with young children. Our youngest daughter was going to sleep in our bed. The host watches you entering with cameras and then sent a message that I hadn’t properly recorded the children in the booking information. It wasn’t an issue at any other accommodation in our whole 3 weeks in Italy but the host was clearly annoyed and it also made me feel uneasy that we were being watched. An extra small child in a bed shouldn’t be an issue… it’s not as though we were hosting a party. I offered to pay extra or have my husband stay with friends down the road but she accepted in the end. The breakfast wasn’t an adequate or balanced in my opinion. You shouldn’t be able to advertise that breakfast is included by offering a handful of prepackaged confectionery.
