Papaya Hostel

I had a wonderful stay! Everything was spotless and very well maintained, which made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. What truly made my experience special was the host Tarek who took care of everything. He was incredibly kind and constantly available to help with anything I needed. His warmth and attentiveness really made a difference and made me feel at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious ! I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

The hostel is nice, calm and clean and the rooms are quite big. The host is kind and gave us some insightful tips to avoid scams from taxi drivers (Indrive App).

The only negative comment I have concerns breakfast. We stayed only one night and our departure from the hostel was scheduled by 9am. Breakfast was included in our reservation (we paid for it), but we were told from the host that we could not have it at 8/8h30 because it was too early (???). In the end when we left we saw everything was read on the table for breakfast so I really don’t get why he didn’t serve it to us.

Very good value for money for those looking for a local experience. The hostel is located outside the tourist district. We stayed close to local Moroccan life and felt safe. It's a kilometer from the local center, full of shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

Our host was grumpy and constantly dissatisfied. The problem was making breakfast half an hour earlier or later than his scheduled 9:30 a.m. Once, he agreed to 15 minutes earlier, but by 9:30, he was rushing us to finish because others were already waiting for a table. Another time, we asked for a refill of tea, but he refused, claiming he had enough for the other guests.He poured only half a small glass of tea. Today, during breakfast, he left. Other Moroccans were refilling their tea three times, so I refilled ours as well. When he returned, he was angry that we had refilled ours, explaining that other guests were running out. But I noticed that he didn't make another serving; no one else was eating after us. He didn't smile. When we left the hostel, he didn't even say goodbye to us properly—he didn't even stop washing the dishes. We've been there twice (a few days after the first time and one night before our flight).
