Holiday Azur - 2 min from the Beach

There is a mix of feelings about our stay in Nice. I'll start with our host Gabriela who welcomed us, she was friendly and showed us the apartment, also we've discussed earlier in the day about our arrival time. She's available all the time if you anything to ask. Thanks for that. Second, the apartment, which is situated at the first floor, it has a nice entrance and an lift which is extremely handy if you have large suitcases. The apartment itself is facing the street and it gets the afternoon sun, however the blinds are top notch and do the well deserved shade. It has one tiny bedroom, that has a large bed and an minuscule space to walk around. The living room has an expanding sofa that might not be as comfortable as you wish but it won't break your back on a short stay. A kitchen with a large fridge, an oven, dishwasher, an electric hob but no extractor so cooking it might not be an option without adding food smell to everything around you. Also, it has a well spaced bathroom with a shower cabin, a bidet and a washing machine. The air conditioning is present in the main room (the living room). There is a space on top of the bathroom that is accessible from the main room, I haven't found it useful at all as it was difficult to get there. Probably if you have small kids (4 to 6) and they aren't more than 1 meter tall it might be good for it otherwise is a no go. Probably the layout of the apartment could be redesigned and be more functional however is comfortable enough for a few days. We were 4 people and we've struggled a bit with space but this is something that's on us and it isn't a drawback of the apartment. One thing that it is extremely useful, there are some beach items to be used like an umbrella, and a portable sunbed. Also an important fact is that the apartment is right across the beach, I mean on a slow walk is 5 minutes and you can take a bath and cool down after a hot day.

This is something that it might create some slightly discomfort, the noise that is coming from the street. As the apartment is facing the street during the night it might get a bit noisy if you decide to sleep with window open. Windows shut, Aircon on and there you go!

We had a family trip of 3, so the apartment was perfect for us! We found it spacious enough (didnt even use the above mattress side). Found everything necessary for cooking and its super convenient with a carrefour literally next door. I found the sofa very comfortable to sleep on. Location wise its very well positioned, very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. 20-25 mins to/from Nice train station and can get a bus to get there. Gabriella was lovely and kind enough to give us also lounge chairs to use at the beach ( we visited towards end of october, but was warm enough to tan and swim still). Overall we were very satisfied with our stay here!

Poteva dire che stavano facendo riparazioni ii vecini e che ogni giorno marteli e demolitori partivano dalle 7:30. Un singolo giorno in riposo tropo deluso. Potevo fare qualche sconto a questo punto
