Villa La dolce vita-Trogir

Vielen Dank an die super netten Vermieter die sich immer um den Pool und uns bemüht haben! Es war alles super sauber und mit Tischtennis, Billard und Gym ist immer für Abwechslung gesorgt! Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub mit vielen schönen Momenten und einer tollen Atmosphäre in Trogir! Tolles Haus in einer Stadt voller Flair….und einem Meer so glasklar wie sonst wahrscheinlich nur in der Karibik😱

Our family enjoyed one of our best-ever holidays, staying in Jurica and Marina's villa in May. Marina met us on arrival to give us the keys and show us everything we needed to know. The villa was spotlessly clean, well equipped and maintained - it really is as nice as it looks in the pictures! The private pool is fantastic - a generous size at around 8m x 4m and perhaps around 1.7m in the deep end. So large enough to get a few strokes in, and children can enjoy jumping in at the deep end. There's a bench seat in the shallow end and steps into the pool, so you could still enjoy it even if you're a non-swimmer or have reduced mobility. It's heated to around 26-27 degs C, about the same as our local public pool back home. Jurica pops by regularly (by arrangement) to ensure the pool is clean and the water pH is right. Note that if you're looking for the villa on Google Maps, the area that's now the pool shows as a car-park, because it was only built in the last couple of years. We also enjoyed a few games of pool, and I'm sure would have enjoyed the table tennis but it was a bit hot to run around during our week. Air-con inside was fantastic in the hot weather. Some activities we did locally were speedboat trips to see local islands and to swim and snorkel, sea kayaking, white water rafting and sight-seeing in Split or Trogir. There was loads of drying space for wet gear available on the villa's terrace. For food, there are several nice restaurants right by the water just down from the beach - our favourite was Lido. There's also a Pizza/Italian restaurant that's part of the hotel directly across the road, though we didn't try that one as it's not open every day. Frumentum bakery at the top of the road is excellent and we bought several lunches there and breakfast pastries. There are several mini-markets on the main road, and a couple of slightly larger stores about 10 mins walk.

There was nothing we didn't like, but a couple of things to be aware of. A damage deposit of EUR 300 in cash is required - this is mentioned on Booking.com in the 'Important Information' but I nearly missed it. Marina came and checked the property the night before we left as we had an early start for our flight, and there were no issues with the return of the deposit. The layout of the villa is a spacious apartment on the top floor, with two large double bedrooms, family bathroom and open-plan kitchen/living room. Then downstairs (the stairs are outside), to one side is the gym and pool room, then the other side is a further 2 bedroom apartment with its own bathroom and compact kitchen/living room. The area seems very safe and the property is secure with a lockable front gate.

Property has all the necessaries for a nice holiday. All rooms looks like new, owners very friendy. Our kids had a nice time here, with facility to the pool . Close to the house it’s a small beach and restaurants, but from here it’s easy to go in Trogir or other places with nice beaches.
