My recent stays (twice) at Racecourse were truly exceptional, especially thanks to the incredible host, Steve. In 17 months of continuous travel, Steve stands out as the most responsive and caring host I have ever encountered. His genuine concern was evident when he visited me multiple times after I had an accident in Nairobi that required surgery. He even sent his housekeeper to assist me when I couldn't manage on my own – a level of care that went above and beyond. Beyond Steve's outstanding hospitality, the accommodation itself was fantastic. It is spacious, well-furnished, and well-equipped. I particularly appreciated the nice kitchen, the convenience of a water dispenser, and the comfortable living room with a large-screen TV offering YouTube, Netflix, LIVE TV, and sports channels. The good Wi-Fi, hot water shower, balcony, comfortable bed, and ample closet space all contributed to a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Steve's availability and regular check-ins truly made a difficult time much easier. I can't recommend Racecourse and Steve highly enough!

While the immediate surroundings upon approach offer a very local and bustling Kenyan experience with active markets and everyday life, which might feel different for some visitors, the Racecourse property itself is a secure and tranquil oasis. I particularly appreciated the excellent on-site security, providing great peace of mind. Plus, there's an incredibly convenient small store right on the property that stocks most essentials and even offers doorstep delivery, significantly reducing the need to venture out for basic needs.

The living room is very comfortable with a large TV offering a wide array of entertainment, including YouTube, Netflix, and live sports. The reliable Wi-Fi, consistent hot water for showers, a balcony, a comfortable bed, and generous closet space all ensured a very relaxing and convenient stay. Steve's personal touch and consistent check-ins made me feel truly looked after. This was a truly unique and comforting experience.

The entrance road provides a glimpse into the vibrant local culture, with lively street scenes that are a contrast to typical commercial areas. While it means most errands or outings beyond the property are best managed with a quick Uber ride for convenience and safety, this is easily offset by the fantastic amenities within Racecourse. The security on the property is top-notch, and the presence of a well-stocked mini-store right on site (with delivery service!) means you rarely have to leave for necessities, ensuring a very comfortable and secure stay.
