Serene Home

Only stayed one night but the house was great. Arrived a little early, house still being prepared for our arrival but we were able to store our luggage and head into town. Appreciate the flexibility.

The property was in a reasonably easy to find suburban street. Access was simple with the well communicated information from the hosts. The property itself looks to be ideal for a great family holiday - we were just two (mother and daughter) so maybe didn't get as much out of it as you could. But good beds and bathroom facilities - downstairs loo a bonus! It was an easy walk into the main centre of Ennis. Washing machine was great and easily usable but did leak. Very friendly neighbourhood cat.

We decided to have a glass of wine in the back yard as the weather was so nice but had to drag the kitchen chairs out as there didn't seem to be any outdoor setting. We couldn't get the TV to work on the free to air channels. Despite getting in contact with the owners they couldn't help and just said that a previous guest must have changed the settings - not much use for us. I walked into and back from town and though it was a shortish mostly pleasant walk, at one point there was a very aggressive driver on one of the roads, doing high speed u-turns, yelling out of his window, and making me question the safety of the area.

The location was excellent and it was easy to get to the area was nice and quiet and the owners left a little walker for my baby which went down very well.

I couldn’t get the normal channels on the telly working but I’m not great with that sort of thing.

The size of the house was nice and spacious. It wasn’t difficult to locate and the walk into the center was easy.

It just wasn’t clean, which made us a bit uncomfortable and disappointed. The floors felt sticky, the bathrooms had mold and hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. There were all types of hairs in the bedding. Even when we pulled out some sheets from the closet so we could change bedding ourselves, it looked as though maybe the sheet hadn’t been washed properly.
