This hotel overall was great!!!! The restaurants were great …. The kid playing area was great for a a dad that wanted to sneak off to the casino !!!!! Overall great experience !!

Beware the hotel will not accept room types even if you request it in advance unless you book directly through them. They treat their customers who book through 3rd party companies like crap. Using a site like Agoda because the rate is cheaper places you in a different category. You will receive a room that is not as nice as others. There was a cigarette burn hole in the comforter in a "non-smoking" room. The sheets were also dirty. The staff was not nice about resolving issues strictly because we did not book directly through them. I would recommend Hollywood Casino Hotel and not Ameristar.

You can’t escape the smell of smoke even in the hotel lobby and to get to your car. The staff were not that helpful and the tvs would turn on every night around 2:30am and wake me up. The hotel was aware of the problem but didn’t get anyone out to fix it. They have several restaurants but none of them offer room service and you can’t even call to place an order.
