    After nearly 12 hours of hiking during the day, this was a nice place to unwind! It was relaxing to enjoy some solitude, settle in for the evening, and grab a cold drink at the bar before it closed. Every interaction I had with the front desk staff was great! They were attentive, personable, and had a good sense of humor, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I would recommend and gladly consider staying here again whenever I’m back in the area!

    Absolutely a delightful discovery. We arrived at the resort on a day when everything in Las Vegas proper was extremely unreasonable. Absolutely amazing experience. Beautiful scenery, and breakfast was delicious. Certainly a retreat to nature that we needed..

    I rarely write reviews and was hesitant to write this review, because the people are what make this property stand out; however, I do think it's important for others to know what they may experience. We returned to The Resort 10 years after our first getaway there. To say the property has declined since that time would be an understatement. The first room we were put in was dirty with some type of band-aid on the ceiling and hair throughout the bathroom. It was obviously lacking a deep cleaning. There was also a tilt to the room, the TV was not working, and the fireplace for which we were looking forward to using was also not working. The staff are exceptional at this property though, and the manager did his best to make it right. He moved us to another room after checking it himself. I did find a few stray hairs in the bathroom and in the shower, but it was much improved from the first room. The internet was very slow over all of the property but that is to be expected for the location. We had a lovely breakfast and afternoon appetizer in the bar area while we played cards and people watched. The view from the back of the property could be improved by removing the debris and cleaning the windows. We were informed the property has switched owners and there are plans for improvement which I hope is true as it could be a very lovely escape from many of us making the quick drive to escape the Vegas heat.

    Location is beautiful, staff is very courteous. Unfortunately, the hotel needs a serious makeover. The room I stayed in had stained chairs, the sink vanity looked like someone took a sledgehammer to it. The toilet flush handle had a chunk broken off it. The shower tub and tiles looked dirty, either they’re not properly scrubbed or it’s just soo old that no scrubbing will make it look clean anymore. I honestly couldn’t tell. The hallway floors are sagging as well. I really needed to get away from the Vegas heat plus with the discount from Agoda it was fine. But would I pay regular price to stay here? Probably not.
