Collecting the property keys was simply a matter of entering the lock code that was texted to us before we arrived. The house was exceptionally clean, even by my elderly mom's standards. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil that even a large group might need and the enormous grassy yard had an outdoor grill and plenty of seating, everything clean and well cared for. All three bedrooms and the living room had televisions. Although there were only the two of us, it would be a wonderful place for a family with kids to spend a few days. I had several questions and Dave, our host, responded to every call quickly. Very helpful too and we were able to extend our stay an extra night without any problems.
A note to cane and walker users: There are 5 steps at the front and back doors, but they are wide and stable with handrails on both sides.
Our one disappointment was the result of our ignorance. We had never visited Reelfoot and weren't aware of how limited access to great views of the lake are for tourists with mobility issues. Long walks were out of the question though we were within a block of the lake. However it's only a few minutes drive to The Boat House Restaurant which has good food, big windows, and cheerful waitresses. Also, it's another short drive north to the State Park Kirby Pocket Area where we were able to park and watch the fishermen launch their boats.
