The over all apartment was lovely the car park was an added bonus. There were a variety of appliances at the apartment which was really handy. It is within walking distance to a chip shop and an Aldi.
You can hear the passing traffic during the night but there isn't much that can be done about it.

This is an old pub that has been converted to living accommodation and has been converted relatively well. The property is very spacious and felt secure with an enclosed courtyard. There are a couple of other flats, which I think are rented out more permanently. At times music being played upstairs was heard and a couple of nights my aunts said they heard a doorbell (which they thought might be theirs) and the front door (to the main road - do bot in use) was knocked. The beds were clean and, I'm told comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and there were plenty of towels available. The kitchen was large as was the living area and bedrooms. Overall, my aunts enjoyed their stay but they didn't actually stay there much as they were vising my dad who lives nearby. I think with a bit more money spent on it, the place could be very good and reflect more value for money.
On entering the place there was a distinct former pub feel and smell. This was not particularly unpleasant but, nevertheless, was there. The kitchen is large but is the old pub kitchen so a bit more of a catering feel. There was plenty of plates, pans etc. but not a great amount of cutlery (which was very quickly addressed by email by the owners) and what was there was "cheap" looking and feeling. The dining chairs weren't particularly clean either. The road noise was fairly constant and the curtains not really blocking out the light - both of which could be sorted. I mentioned that this is a converted pub and my overall feeling was a bit like Adge Cutler and the Wurzels (amongst others) song "A pub with no beer"! :)

The property was fine, clean, well stocked and presented. It had everything we could possibly need. However, for the price, the location is not.
The upstairs neighbours were so loud until 2am Monday morning and induced trauma flashbacks in our daughter due to the angry shouting and throwing things around on Monday 8pm until early hours Tuesday am. While this clearly isn’t a fault with the apartment, it may inform potential bookings.
