We had a wonderful two-night stay at 'A Casa da Mammi' in Mondello, Palermo. The little house we stayed in was separate from the main building and located in the garden, it was charming, very cozy and clean. The garden itself was very peaceful, with even a small view on the mountains. The location couldn’t have been better, just a 5-minute walk from Mondello Beach, in a quiet and clean neighborhood. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations for our stay and even helped arrange an airport shuttle for us. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

We stayed in a room with a private bathroom in a garden area of a house. The location was very convenient—close to the beach, restaurants, and everything we needed, while still being in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The room was fairly spacious, and the bathroom was also a good size. It was well equipped with a fridge and a coffee machine, which was a nice plus. There was also an outdoor seating area with a table and chairs in the garden, as well as a drying rack for clothes, which was very practical. Another small challenge was communication at check-in, as the person who welcomed us did not speak English or French. However, he was very kind, friendly, and cooperative, and we were still able to manage everything without major issues.

However, there were a few downsides. The room was not perfectly clean—it was tidy and organized, but not as clean as expected. We also noticed several small black bathroom insects (the type that often fly in bathrooms and drains), which were quite uncomfortable. In addition, the bathroom design felt a bit outdated, and the water drainage in the toilet was a bit slow, which was inconvenient.
