The host was very helpful when we contacted him quite late to obtain instruction on how to access the Wifi. The parking was very good in a secure double electronic gated underground compound underneath apartment. The Apartment is on the 5th floor of a 8 storey apartment block so offers outskirt city views and beautiful sunsets. Everything was there that you would need for your stay. It was very handy to have washing machine for longer stay. The apartment was nicely furnished. Sofa and bed were comfortable and the apartment was nicely decorated and very clean. Balcony was large and nicely furnished and you do not feel overlooked. Considering the volume of apartments within the block and within the local area it is very quiet day and night. Strasbourg centre is easily reached by tram line A that stops directly outside the apartment. Tip: Don't waste your time with the APP for transport as we frustratingly did as it does not work well for buying tickets the trams run very frequently day and night with paying machines at the tram stop which accepts card and cash. This issues you a card that can be reloaded with subsequent tickets remember to validate your ticket on the machine at the start. Their are window shutters that help to keep the room slightly cooler when left down during the day, There is a large Lidl around the corner for groceries. which is very convenient.
We stayed during the recent heatwave there is no A/C or even a fan thank goodness we brought our own fan. The window shutters had been left up when we arrived and the apartment was like walking into a sauna as it had heated up during the day. There are a lot of rules about noise on the check in instructions that initially were a little off putting, We were happy to abide by the rules however some may find it constricting. That being said It should however, be remembered that the apartment is in a residential block where people live all the time It does appear that rules around noise are followed by all the occupants residing in the flats which I found quite respectful. So for us it was a positive in the end. There were no written instructions for any of the appliances (French washing machines are certainly different to those in UK but google helped with this) or advice on local amenities/ transport/ sightseeing or even where to dispose of rubbish. We managed to work this out during our 6 night stay but it would have been a nice touch to have this information available in the apartment. The height of the apartment should be specified on booking. com as this could be an issue for some who have small children who may climb whilst on the balcony and there is no window restrictor or lock on the bedroom window/ balcony door and this can be opened fully or for those who do not like heights may struggle with the height. The shower does not drain well and is liable to flood the bathroom as there is no shower tray. The surrounding area of the apartment is slightly more industrial looking than I had anticipated.

The location was excellent!!! Tram to Strasbourg 1/2 block away! Lidl very close by. Apartment was great! Strasbourg is a delight!!
Check-in was not so easy, maybe because we had been traveling for many hours from USA to Paris and then train to Strasbourg and Uber to address. Finding the box with keys was a bit of a challenge, but once found, easy!!! Thank you to the shop outside the keybox and to the youg girls who helped us!!!
