Cambus o May Hotel Cottages - 'Traditional, Rustic, Cosy'

Cambus holds a special place for the family. To watch Jake and his team bring the old lodge back to life over the last few years has been magical. I like saying "Good Morning" to every guest and finding out their plans for the day over breakfast. . Yes evening service can be at a pace but to me this is a place like home with Jake scouring antique shops and e bay for the next item to add to the growing traditional collection. If you want Premier Inn standards and "american service" head up the road ...This is authentic charm where you will know the name of every staff member who will go out of their way to make sure you are very welcome. Loving the works on the GArden...booked for next year. Andrew

We stayed at the Cambus o May four years ago when they were first getting started and there have been overwhelming improvements. We stayed in the newly renovated fully furnished two story three bedroom cottage surrounded with mature trees and it is magnificent! Total old world charm. It has a fully furnished kitchen and even a clothes washer and dryer. There are 1 1/2 bathrooms. There are two fireplaces with never ending firewood and numerous electric heaters throughout the cottage. The walls are decorated with fantastic historical art. It is a five minute walk/ one minute drive to the main hotel building. The main hotel is so charming with a very nice dining room and a full bar lounge. Breakfast and supper were over the top and the entire staff and owners are wonderful.

It's a bit out of the way, with the nearest town a 15 minute drive. However, that partly adds to the charm of Cambus o May.

Mooi oud jachthuis wat grotendeels is zoals het 150 jaar geleden al was. Daarnaast wel genoeg gemoderniseerd waar het nodig was, zoals sanitair. Leuke locatie.

Wij hadden het vrijstaande tuiniershuis wat nog verder in het bos lag. Van buiten een plaatje maar van binnen wel erg gedateerd. Bedden overigens wel prima.

Das Cottage liegt 2 Minuten vom Haupthaus entfehrnt und ist eine wunderschöne Oase. Einfach nur wunderschön. Auch das Frühstück im Haupthaus war perfekt. Sehr freundliches Personal, wirklich der Hammer. Kommen gerne nocheinmal.

Das ganze Cottage war mit Teppich versehen, weshalb es sehr schnell alt und nicht so sauber wirkte. Auch die Ausstattung war sehr alt und als wir einen Sessel verschoben haben, war alles voller Dreck darunter. Man fühlte sich in eine andere Zeit zurück versetzt mit der Deko. Auch ein wenig überstellt. Aber die Betten und das Bad war sehr sauber und komfortabel.
