I’m not a big fan of bnb’s. I usually rather choose hotels because most of bnb’s nowadays are very “dry”, uncomfortable, furnished cheaply with low cost materials and not much care. But I’m happy that I choose Catia’s place for our stay in Gerês area. She takes care of the place, care for the guests, she chose good materials and quality furniture. In the bedroom you’ll find Comfortable bed Great shower Small minibar area where you can store drinks and food, make coffee and tea and heat up something fast with the microwave Balcony with a fantastic view Tables inside and on the balcony In the common area you’ll find Amazing pool area with Jacuzzi and jawbreaker view Common area with billiards, games, dishes, glasses etc We felt like we had enough privacy but at the same time Catia was always available if anything happened. Breakfast basket was the cutest thing. We loved it ❤️

Unfortunately there was a big no no for me in this room: the open toilet. If you’re traveling with friends or you’re a new couple, this can be very uncomfortable. I’d strongly suggest closing the toilet area. This was the only thing we could not understand.. and left us quite speechless. I’d add a clothing rack to dry the swimwear and towels.

- The view is absolutely stunning - It feels so close to nature — waking up to sheep bleating and chickens in the morning was such a lovely touch - Top-tier amenities: pool table, swimming pool, jacuzzi - The hosts clean daily without fail, even on days we hadn’t used the space

We had to bring our own towels for the pool, which caught us off guard and had to buy one. All other places we’ve stayed provide towels or robes for guest use

Die beiden Räume der Wohnung sind sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Pool mit genialer Aussicht auf den See ist wunderschön. Am Pool und um das Haus gibt es mehrere Sitzpätze im Freien, die man nutzen kann. Die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den sehenswerten Geres-Nationalpark zu erkunden. Die sehr nette Vermieterin Cátia hat uns tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants gegeben. Gleich nebenan gibt es einen kleinen Laden für Lebensmittel. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.
