The size of the apartment on the 17th floor. The decor inside the apartment and on the balcony. The kitchen was well equipped. Casa Paraiso provided and replenished 18 litre bottles of water. Caty from Casa Paraiso was available to us at all times. She also checked in with us regularly to make sure all was well. The very large grocery store, Chedraui was right across the street, a store open until 11:00pm. The view from the glassed in balcony which gave onto the lagoon, with turquoise waters from the sea right behind it. Beautiful sunrises.

The incessant noise from traffic on Bonampak Street, making it unpleasant to sit on the beautiful balcony, which is on Bonampak, to enjoy the views. Also a pack of 50-60 large motorcycles at a time, doing wheelies and revving their engines, trying to create the loudest noise possible, past the building at random hours of the night, sounding like an airplane was flying overhead, startling us out of our sleep…. The bathrooms and kitchen are dated. One last disappointment, our intention was to have a beach vacation. We settled on this place, although in the city and not in Hotel Zone, as it was reported by previous guests, that buses R1 and R2 stopped in front of our door both on Bonampak and Tulum Blvd, destined for the Hotel Zone, where all beaches are located, at a price of 12 Pesos per ride. We therefore did not mind being in the city as we knew we could jump on a bus and head to the beach anytime. We found out that these buses no longer service the area. We had to hire a car to get to and from the beach, so extra costs but doable.

Súper clean, felt modern, fabulous vista, well equipped. Although there is a good view of the Lagoon, the Caribbean Sea and beaches are not within walking distance. . Good lap pool with very clear water. Great for exercise swimming. Near lots of shopping and restaurants. Excellent security.

The gym is very small and the universal gym is not functioning well, dumbbells are rusty, the only exercise bike is a recumbent style machine but was out of order. Traffic on the very very busy road that goes by the building is very loud. Especially with so many many motorcycles w/o mufflers. Lots of traffic noise especially on the balcony, but also in the apartment with windows closed. Bring earplugs!
