The Kinley House

The location was great. We had a suite on the top floor with substantial windows on two sides. Looking out into the trees in the morning was wonderful.

The bathroom privacy. As mother and daughter, my daughter didn’t like the lack of privacy with the bathroom doors that didn’t conceal any noises. :)

Suite #4: Large comfortable suite.

This was a lovely historic home close to the centre of town. You could walk to the downtown in about 10-15 min so it was a great location. Nice not to have to drive and park. The suite we had was nicely organized with everything you need for a short stay, including the kitchenette. It was very quiet. We heard nothing from any other guests. When I had questions for Kathy, I got responses quickly.

Nothing

The grounds of the Kinley House are quite pretty as is the house itself. The bedroom for our unit was quite nice, with a comfortable bed and strong AC, which was great given the heatwave. Overall the unit is spacious and functionally appointed. It is a short walk to the downtown, which is truly lovely.

When we arrived there was water pooled in the base of the shower with dead bugs floating in it. The base of the shower is sloped such that this happens with every use of the shower since the drain is raised. While the initial entry instructions for entering the house were clear, there were issues with the lock on the downstairs entrance which took some time to resolve and the communication with us and other guests about repairs and leaving it unlocked until it was, was not good. We were briefly locked out and this was stressful. It was also not clear that it wouldn’t happen again.
