Torre Cangiani

The views and surroundings, the history of the place, the extraordinary host and staff, and what had to be a free upgrade to the "library" three room apartment were all fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding. It was centrally located for all of what we wanted to do from Pompeii, to Sorrento to Salerno to the Amalfi coast via ferry. The town it was located in allowed us to shop as well as to eat out at very nice restaurants.

Hesitate to say it since the property is so fantastic, but within the room, the bed and lounging chairs could use an upgrade to increase the overall comfort and ability to completely lay back, relax and enjoy the whole experience.

Het fantastische uitzicht, de vriendelijke host, het mooie domein, rustige ligging

Cristiano is an excellent host, always quick with a joke or a gift of limoncello or olive oil from his farm, to make you feel welcomed. The property is beautiful, with a tasty breakfast served on the terrace atop the medieval tower. It gives you sweeping views from the Gulf of Naples with Mt. Vesuvius, all the way south to the Isle of Capri, and wonderful sunsets. Massa Lubrense is the perfect quiet town from which to base your exploration of the area. We even enjoyed meeting the other guests: couples and families from other parts of Europe. A true destination!

Unfortunately the meal service was suspended, but they offered an alternative at their cousins' next-door property, where food was excellent and staff was friendly.
