Jecheon The Shine Cheongpung

Really spacious, incredibly clean and new. For English speakers; there are 4 units, we were in the last one. There is no lobby or public space. There are two large bedrooms, each with two full size beds. There was another small bedroom that had futons in a closet, it isn’t pictured. Each bedroom, including the small one, had an ensuite full bathroom, plus there was a fourth full bathroom on the main floor. Our unit (and I think each unit) had its own small swimming pool. To get it heated you have to pay 70,000 wan per day and the host said it takes 5 hours to heat up. Also spacious living room and kitchen. Beautiful spot, absolutely quiet. Seemed like a great deal considering the amount of space.

Not really a complaint, just FYI. The location is quite remote, a car is a must. We visited Woraksan National Park and also the nearby heritage center, I forgot the name. Small grocery is 10 minutes away. Also just FYI, not child proof at all. Staircase and pool area not suitable for young children. Also FYI, kitchen equipment is minimal from western perspective. No toaster, no frying pan, no oven, no forks or knives, no salt and pepper or coffee. There were a couple saucepans, a rice cooker, and microwave. No washer/dryer. Heating system was very difficult to navigate without reading Korean. Two different systems, floor heat and air heat, with about 12 thermostats total for various rooms and systems.
