Absolutamente nada

First time in Brazil, I picked this place because was close to Copacabana, but far enough to spend with family and travel to famous places. The apartment buidling was secure, the apartment and place meet all expectations as the picture show. The apartment itself was nice, but the lack of communication, lack of preparation, and total absence of empathy or apology from the host made the experience unacceptable—especially for a family with young children. Because of this experience, we decided that in Brazil we will only book places with 24-hour reception to avoid similar situations. My money—and my peace of mind—do not deserve this kind of experience.

We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in after traveling without internet connection. We took an Uber, but the driver refused to leave us outside unless we were already inside the building. Upon arrival, we discovered that access to the building required face recognition via an app, which was never communicated in advance. There was no internet available, I don’t speak Portuguese, and the only information provided through Booking was the apartment door code, which was useless without access to the building itself. Several people kindly shared their mobile internet so I could try to contact the host, but the connection kept dropping. Attempts to speak with the building reception failed, as the person hung up repeatedly. We were outside for more than 40 minutes in extreme heat (over 35°C) with our three small children (ages 3, 6, and 8), who became dehydrated and distressed. Eventually, a stranger took a personal risk and helped us enter the building without the app, just to ensure the apartment door code worked. Once inside, there were no instructions about Wi-Fi, passwords, or how to communicate with the host. The only visible Wi-Fi signal was near the pool, but accessing that area also required face recognition. I had to wait outside again for over 30 minutes to get a signal, with no response from the host via WhatsApp or calls. Only after my husband managed to contact the host from a different phone did he promise to help “in 5 minutes,” but no access was granted. Later, the apartment door code stopped working entirely. By coincidence, the same person who initially helped us appeared again and contacted the host, who finally granted us access to the face recognition system. In retrospect, we kept thinking: what would have happened if we had arrived late at night, with no one around to help? This situation felt unsafe, stressful, and completely avoidable.

Gostei de tudo. Tudo novinho, prédio limpo e calmo. O apartamento tem uma vista perfeita, muito bem equipado e organizado. Ótima localização.

O apartamento em geral é bacana, o lazer do condomínio é bom também, com uma bela piscina com vista para uma das praias de Niterói.

A limpeza do apartamento estava péssima, chegamos à noite e tivemos que faxinar o apartamento pq. o chão estava imundo e fomos com um bebê que engatinha. Entender a entrada no condomínio também é bem confuso, foi enviado um e-mail de última hora avisando que tinha que baixar um aplicativo, daí, você TEM que fazer a facial para acessar o condomínio. As vagas de garagem então, nem se fala. São poucas vagas, são confusas para acessar e ainda precisa de pegar uma espécie de bonde para subir, pois elas ficam localizadas num piso bem abaixo ao piso do prédio. (Melhor deixar o carro na rua mesmo). Não tinha secador de cabelo no apartamento e nem um varal para secar as roupas, onde normalmente esses são itens que sempre encontro no Airbnb que me hospedo.
