Everything at chambre d'hôte chaton was simply perfect. Yukie-san is such a kind, generous, and fascinating person with a lot of interesting stories and wisdom to share. She is a most excellent host! She speaks English and French fluently, and we were able to chat about many interesting topics together. I stayed with her for my first night walking the Kumano Kodo Iseji, and I'm grateful for the comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay. We ate a delicious udonsuki for dinner prepared with fresh ingredients, and I was obsessed with the side dishes she made with sukuna kabocha and yam that she cultivated herself in the garden. I wish I could have stayed for several more days just to try some of the experiences she offers with local crafts and farming! I highly recommend chambre d'hôte chaton for a tranquil and insightful experience on life in the Japanese countryside. I would love to return one day!
