The Guesthouse

A beautifully located little house, on the site of the family home with friendly owners who communicated quickly and helpfully. The place was clean and quirky in character.

The bed was not comfortable for two people - so ‘spongy’ that, when one person moved in the night, the whole bed bounced. Other people have mentioned it, but there is only one curtain in the bedroom. There is another bedroom window letting in light and other parts of the space without curtains. This makes for a lot of light in the Swedish summer nights - and as there is a family using the land, it would also be preferable to be able to use the space more privately. We had expected to bring our own bedding, but then the bed was partly made so we had to work out what to use and what not to. The tiny sink in the toilet was insufficient for washing up in any meaningful way and the drainage from it was very slow. I was surprised there was no other sink - it made using the microwave etc seem impossible as you couldn’t then wash up. There was also an odd lack of basic, helpful equipment - no glasses, cups etc. We had our van with us, so had things to use (and I’m sure you could ask to borrow from the house) but surely one shouldn’t need to ask and it would make sense to have things available in the property?

Logement très mignon et lumineux, conforme à la description. Il est relativement petit mais procure un effet cocooning. La literie est confortable et Tobias, le propriétaire, est très réactif aux messages et sympathique. Localisé en pleine nature avec la possibilité de stationner sur place.

Il n'y a pas de rideaux occultants à toutes les fenêtres, ce qui fait que le logement reste relativement lumineux la nuit (ici en juillet)

Mysigt beläget & fint gästhus. Lagom avstånd till Kolmården (30 min) för oss som reste med en 2-åring. Var ett stort plus med närheten till hästarna som sonen älskade att kika på. Nära coop (5 min bort) om man saknar något i matväg.

Hade önskat mörkerläggning för båda fönsterna i sovrummet. Det lilla fönstret vid huvudändan av sängen saknade detta. Men - det ska tilläggas att detta förmodligen inte är ett bekymmer om man reser enbart vuxna (som går och lägger sig senare). Vi löste det med två kuddar vid sonens tidiga nattning.
