Three bedroomed house in Juliasdale - 2192

Good location, nice view from the veranda, staff at the house willing and helpful though lacking in English

Not great service from the yourrentl team. This house is badly in need of maintenance- light in the en suite bathroom stayed on all night as it was broken - this wouldn’t be a problem if the window was broken so didn’t close letting in loads of insects at night ( see photo ) , the toilet didn’t fill quickly so we needed a bucket, the sink had no cold water, the sliding door to the bedroom had no handle so the door couldn’t be closed properly. The other bathroom had a drip under the sink caught by a bowl. The lounge was too dark to read in ( see photo ) and whilst there were 2 lamps they were both broken. The BBQ area had a grill that was totally rusty and broken so not usable. The kitchen - ants! Appliances were ancient but generally worked although the one and only baking tray was filthy. Cooking grease rises and so 2 shelves of crockery felt greasy. The lovely housekeeper came in and washed up but then left things drying on the side so we just helped ourselves from there all week. Most of the cups had chips in them ( see photo ) Main bedroom had a dressing table ( see photo ) If you touched the mirror part it almost all fell off as it was held on by a piece of wire. This property really should be on the international rental market. The owner had left food in the kitchen and even a pair of trousers and some socks in the cupboard.Despite going there from the UK we have lived in Africa for more than a decade so know not to expect perfection and we are quite happy with a lack of modern facilities as long as it is clean and works. The housekeepers were doing their best but this place is in need of serious maintenance. I was pleased to see that it is now currently unavailable on Booking.com and should remain so until it is in a good state of repair.
