Wish Maamigili

A family run hotel who went above and beyond for us. They organised all our transport, activities and recommended a great local restaurant for dinner. Would happily stay here again if we return to the Maldives.

L’hôtel est quasiment neuf les chambres très confortables avec la clim. La famille qui nous a accueilli était vraiment très sympathique aux petits soins avec nous, disponible pour nous donner des informations et nous aider dans l’organisation. Nous avons eu de belles discussions avec eux pour mieux comprendre la vie des habitants locaux. C’était très intéressant. Nous avons fait une Excursion privée avec un petit bateau à 50 $ par personne pour deux heures de Snorkelling qui était incroyable. Nous avons vu des dauphins, des tortues, des requins et des milliers de poisson. Et une sortie raie manta, idem avec un petit bateau privé à 100 $ par personne, nous en avons vu six dont une de très près, c’était magnifique. Nous recommandons à 100 % cette Guest House, et espérons vraiment pouvoir revenir un jour. Encore merci pour tout 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Very nice, clean and modern hotel with a fridge, A/C, ventilator, hair drier and kettle. Gorgeous baby crib was set for my daughter as well. People there were very nice and helpful. They picked us up in the harbor when we arrive and they dropped us at the airport when we leave. Good breakfast everyday. Once they even called us to try their local family dinner! It was really amazing stay and definitely worth every penny. We plan to come back next year.

Staff is very friendly and provides excellent timely service. They communicated through WhatsApp, so even without roaming it was easy to communicate and ask questions whenever wifi was available in the island. They truly made our trip feel like being at home and frequently checked-in to make sure we are comfortable and our needs are met. They have a nice golf cart to transport people from and to the docking area. They made the transportation part seamless and gave us detailed information about how to come to the island (loading at Jetty Number 6 in North Male harbor at 3pm; take MyExpress Orca Maamigili). Several excursions are available, including swim with whale shark, manta ray, turtle snorkeling, reef snorkeling, sand bank picnic lunch, etc. We did three tours total, and were able to see the whale shark, turtle and reef. Each excursion took about 2.5 hrs total and it was well worth the money and time. "Guest beach" is about 20 min walk away. It's such a beautiful beach and really underrated. This is where visitors can wear non-traditional swim suits such as bikinis. Wifi is provided. Though it does get disconnected occasionally, most of the time it is fast enough to stream Youtube. Washer and dryer is available for $2, which was a great feature for those planning to stay for a long time. Not all local hotels in Maldives have this. Lastly, I would like to mention that since this is a local island, there's public prayer through the speaker 5 times a week, including the 5am one (we woke up everytime). However, this is not a hotel-exclusive situation. Given the value and service they provide, I highly recommend this place for your trip to Maamigili.

The bathroom had a distinct smell, but it could just be our particular room. Other than that, the hotel was clean.
