    I needed a quiet place to spontaneously stop over and get some work done on my computer—not right on the main road, but somewhere peaceful and green. I found exactly what I was looking for in these charming little bungalows. It has a lovely small garden, good Wi-Fi, and quite spacious rooms, though currently still without air conditioning. The owner, Pi Kan, mentioned she’s planning to add AC by next season. There’s a conveniently located small supermarket nearby and a restaurant where the food is genuinely delicious. Breakfast is included and exactly what you’d hope for. I really enjoyed my stay here, even though it was brief—I was just passing through, but next time I’ll definitely stay longer. Pi Kan and her family are experienced hosts who genuinely make your stay as comfortable as possible (she is some sort of small celebrity on the island and knows everybody). On my way out, I noticed Pi Kan even offers cooking classes, something I’d certainly like to try next time. I remember Lonely Beach as loud and chaotic before Covid, but now the street feels completely transformed, likely because the clubs and noisy bars have moved elsewhere. It’s a fantastic alternative for anyone who wants to avoid the usual tourist crowds at Whitesand Beach or other hotspots. Highly recommended—I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
