## Emplacement
Capital of Narbonnaise Gaul, residence of the Visigoth kings and archiepiscopal city, Narbonne is a 2,500-year-old City of Art and History with a rich heritage. In the heart of the historic center, two listed buildings are a must: the Cathédrale Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur and the Palais des Archevêques.
Afterwards, there's nothing like a coffee break on one of the terraces of the lively Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, before continuing your journey towards the Canal de la Robine and its charming Promenade des Barques, where you can enjoy a ride on an electric boat.
When it comes to museums, Narbonne is also well endowed, with its Archaeological Museum housing a remarkable exhibition of Roman paintings, its Museum of Art and History rich in fine and decorative art collections, its Lapidary Museum housed in the former church of Notre-Dame de Lamourguier, and Charles Trenet's birthplace, now entirely dedicated to the famous Fou chantant.
