Great location, right on Island Street opposite Salcombe gin. The waterside is just 1 minute away, same for shops and pubs. It’s a little mews type cottage right in the heart of Salcombe with people bustling around. Inside it had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms
Parking is an issue but we knew that before booking. It was fine to get a space in long stay up the road but in summer this would be harder. Also, there was an area gas outage whilst we were there Sykes cottage we’re really responsive and bought us heaters which we’re welcome in sub zero temperatures but no hot water for 2 of the 3 nights. Not the owners fault but we have message to see about a gesture of money off and had no response from the hosts which doesn’t seem great. Again, Sykes cottage have been good about it but they can’t do anything without the owners permission.
